Salaam
The only time i find serenity takes over me, and I literally feel it is when I’m in the musjid. It is tranquil. Its not the psychology of meditation, its more than that. And I thank Allah that it is by his grace that he allows me to Pray to him and invites me to his house. The Most peacefull City I have visited was Madina. -------------------- * justice will be served in this life or the next * |

The coming two incidents took place in the US. As far as I remember, it was 1985, yes, and i was visiting the US. I was visiting an Egyptian friend in a State close to NY (connecticut). Anyway, she dropped me to the train with my large luggage, and warned me not to expect any help while getting off in the station. I was to me picked up by a relative to drive me to JFK airport. I was standing in the train with my head cover and large luggage, while getting off, all of a sudden, out of nowhere, a very distinguished looking man with an elegant coat on, quickly picked up my luggage, till I got off, he just put it in front of me and nodded and took off (he wasnt even a Muslim). I hardly had time to thank him. Sobhan Allah. I was driving my suitcase towards the station main hall where I was supposed to be picked up. An african american came towards me and said salam alykom sister, any help? I explained I was waiting for my relative. Immediately, he said I will wait with u. I told him, what if he's late? He said, then I will drop you to the airport, but I must ensure you are safely picked up. As soon as my relative showed up, he greeted him, explained why he waited with me. and just took off. Sobhan Allah, no matter how long, I still remember those two incidents. Later on I called my friend and explained to her how Allah Assigned those to help me. She was surprised, specially with the train man. -------------------- Say (O Muhammad): "O you humankind! Yesterday I had an interpretation assignment. I met the non Arabic speaker (german) to whom I was giving the service, before, and in our introduction, he learnt that because I m Muslim I cannt shake hands with him. He accepted this with full respect and showed no hostility, which in some cases it happens but not directly. Well, let us say it becomes a message of a serious commitment to Islam. Anyway, last evening, the assignment was some kind of hard and long, at the end he wanted to thank me much. He smokes pipe, and he had his tobacco pack in front of him when he was showing it to someone. Suddenly, before I left, he asked me can u touch this pack, I said yes and touched it spontaneously, he held it from the other side, and shook it saying thank u so much. I really respected his respecftul and thoughtful attitude. He wanted to express his appreciation in a different manner and thought of this innovative idea not to insult my attitude. It was really touching and revealed how non Muslims will respect us when we respect our rules. Alhamdulelah. -------------------- Say (O Muhammad): "O you humankind! If you are in doubt as to my religion (Islam), then (know that) I will never worship those whom you worship, besides Allah. But I worship Allah Who causes you to die, I am commanded to be one of the believers. (Quran 10:104)

as salam alykom Wow nothing good happens to anyone?? Any way, few months ago i was driving with a co worker on a long fly over that is usually crowded because it connects the two ends of Cairo. It was almost 5 in the afternoon and everyone was racing. I found the temprature gauage going up quickly till it was really hot. i had to stop taking the side of the fly over and cars racing. I went out of the car trying to see if someone could help me check the water. Just as I stepped out, a car pulled over behind me to drop off a young man who immediately approached me politely and asked if I needed help. I explained the situation. Alhamdulelah I had some water with me, he took the trouble, although he seemed to be a delivery person who was taking eye glasses somewhere. He checked the water, added more water, then I asked him about his destination. Turned out close to my house. I offered him a ride, he said I will only come because I m concerned that the car shall act silly. Alhamdulelah, he explained the problem to me and kept giving me instructions on how to drive and deal with it till I droped him. O when he joined me in the car, without me asking he went to the back seat. Alhamdulelah, there are still such examples. -------------------- Say (O Muhammad): "O you humankind! If you are in doubt as to my religion (Islam), then (know that) I will never worship those whom you worship, besides Allah. But I worship Allah Who causes you to die, I am commanded to be one of the believers. (Quran 10:104)

Last week, I was walking back home, but the weather was really cold and very windy. I found a car slowing down close to me with a Niqabbi women asking me if she can give me a ride. I thanked her much and explained that i really need to walk. Then I did invoke to Allah to keep her fixed and increase her good manners. ameen -------------------- Say (O Muhammad): "O you humankind! As Salam alaikum I was driving home from Juma' this past week when a boy, who did not look, ran in front of my car from behind a van. I hit him. Alhamdulillah it was just his leg and I was already slowing down. Alhamdulillah that he then got up and ran to his mother. Alhamdulillah, they were nice and understanding about the whole situation. Alhamdulillah, so were the police. Alhamdulillah no ambulance was needed and that there was only a red mark. Alhamdulillah that witnesses came forward to verify that it was not my fault. Most of all, Alhamdulillah that I am muslim so I have not played the "what-if" game until I was sick. Instead, I have been very grateful that Allah Helped me. I have been making a lot of dua' begging Allah to help me in my situation as if He is not. Astaghfirullah, it took this terrifying incident for me to understand that Allah is ALWAYS Helping me... in ways and means that I will never fully comprehend. As Salam alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu -------------------- You who believe! Have fear of Allah and seek the means of drawing near to Him, and strive in His Way, so that hopefully you will be sucessful. (5:35)

As salam alykom Two days ago i was buying Falafel sandwitches in a restaurant before going to work, a man was waiting for his order to be ready on the other side of the waiting area when a woman who looked from her appearence to be a simple not well educated one came inquiring if there was a close by place for her to make a phone call. The man directed her to the exchange that was close by and explained they have public phones, I tried directing her to a closer place, but she said it was closed and she needed to make a call urgently to her place. In no time without any hesitation, the man who also looked not to be a well off (he is buying fool and falfel for breakfast any way indicating his economic class) offered her his mobile to call from. She said she does not know how to use it, he helped her by dialing the number for her to speak. Sobhan Allah, may Allah increase this type of people, allow us to improve. Those models makes one always remember the hadeeth of the Messenger salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam saying goodness shall remain in my nation till the day after. -------------------- Say (O Muhammad): "O you humankind! If you are in doubt as to my religion (Islam), then (know that) I will never worship those whom you worship, besides Allah. Only in Egypt, Walking back home, there were those two very simple working class middle aged women, sitting on the pavement selling packed cleaned vegetable as a form of micro project. This is quite common in Egypt for income generation. I said salam, and one of them said back salam with a big smile inviting me seriously to join their very simple and humble lunch (falfel and sour cheese). Sobhan Allah, not only satisfied with what they are doing for living, but also very happy with what they eat and feel no harm in inviting others to share their simple meal. -------------------- Say (O Muhammad): "O you humankind! If you are in doubt as to my religion (Islam), then (know that) I will never worship those whom you worship, besides Allah. as salam alykom Two days ago, walking in a main street in Mohandeseen Cairo and carrying things, a taxi (yes taxi) stopped by and the driver offered to just take me where I want to go on his way just to help. Sobhan Allah, he kept institing, not as a customer but just to help me because I was walking and carrying a bag. Sobhan Allah, I thanked him a lot. Alhamdulelah, good is still in the Ummah of the Messenger. -------------------- Say (O Muhammad): "O you humankind! as salam alykom Havent introduced good news for quite sometime. I have been having some emergencies for the past 10 days, and today I was going somewhere as part of this purpose. Because I was very tired, I parked my car, then went to run my task. Coming back home, I kept looking for my car keys, and I had my 87 mother with me who cannt stand heat. I could not find the keys. She suggested I go look into the car. The car was opened, parked as is, I went inside, didnt find the keys, then found a pink card next to the driving wheel where the note: Your car keys is with the kiosk on the other side in front of you, Good deed doer (anonymous) Sobhan Allah, I crossed the street, found a man on a wheel chair who does not also speak keeping my keys. I was deeply touched specially from Allah's Close Assistance and granting power, Allah Sobhanhu wa ta`ala manifested Himself and loudly told me how He is watching over me, knowing my circumstances, leave alone sending me this Muslim man to confirm the Hadeeth: Good shall remain in my Ummah till the Day After. Alhamdulelah. -------------------- Say (O Muhammad): "O you humankind! If you are in doubt as to my religion (Islam), then (know that) I will never worship those whom you worship, besides Allah. Alhamdulelah. Subhan Allah, I was reflecting over that same hadith with other brothers few days ago while labeling the books that we have received in preparation for Hong Kong book fair. We have received over 120,000 books from various Islamic countries, Saudi, Egypt, Bahrain, Dubai, Turkey, Qatar, etc. some people will be even travelling all the way from Saudi, Egypt and Philippines just to help us during this huge event, all of them have cooperated to make this event a success without knowing one another. A sister whom we never talked to or knew before just contacted us and said that she had learned through the internet about this event and was able to collect 20,000 Egyptian pounds for that same cause. Alhamdulilah, this Ummah still awake and its sense of unity will remain awake insh a Allah. Mash a Allah, one really needs always to spread such good news in order to balance the magnitude of negativity we are exposed to. When we continue telling others about such situations, those little situations, people will realise that Muslims are still and will continue being good, others will follow and so forth Insh a Allah rather than just sitting wailing about the deteriorated society we are living in as we all hear every day. -------------------- Say (O Muhammad): "O you humankind!
